Thanks to my friends for coming to try new things together, and even more so for the good wine. Of course, you need to complete your assigned work first.
First, there are two babies that come from nowhere.
???New Make 60%
2023.2.14
Smell: Prunella vulgaris or chicken bone grass? Cheese, wheat porridge, sourdough bread, fermented dough, the fruity aroma tends to be sour pear, lemon, sour cherry, and honey. It contains a lot of barley elements, is thick and thick, and is not the light and fruity style that is common in recent years.
Taste: Sour pear, wheat beer, a lot of acid and salty so it's a little meaty, nutty. The aroma is lighter than the aroma, and the fruitiness is more obvious, but it is still dominated by wort.
Finish: Wheat beer, lots of wheat, toasted almonds, neat.
Summary: The taste is very different from the Shinobu New Make I received before. It has more of a wort flavor and a medium body.

??? New Born 50%
2023.2.27, not sure if it was matured by the above.
Smell: The smell of prunella vulgaris or chicken bone grass has weakened. A little grass, a little coconut sugar, the fruity feeling is still a bit sour, green pear, fruit vinegar, and finally the wheaty feeling is still strong, fermented bread, strong wheat beer, etc.
Taste: Firm, pear, a little peach, a lot of wheat beer, a little salty, then maltose, obviously sweet.
Aftertaste: sweet, wheat beer, fermentation.
Summary: It’s not much different from the previous one. It has a strong wheat flavor, and it still needs time for the barrel to metabolize the fermentation sourness and the like. After aging, it should have a tough style, and there is no way to cheat in the form of soft herbal juice. This is similar to other new Japanese factories, but the finished product still depends on luck.

Then there’s a whiskey that should be ready for sale on shelves.
(won’t tell you) 40%
Smell: orange peel, orange juice, orange blossom water, Melinda, juice sugar, lighter Cointreau orange liqueur, a bit floral and fruity but covered.
Taste: light.
Finish: soju.
Summary: Sure you can blame me for being lazy, but that doesn't really make sense. The smell is very similar to orange liqueur. It was probably produced for the preparation of Highball, so the taste and aftertaste are not taken into account so much. It can be offered to friends who don't drink much.

Come have a good drink.

The First Editions CMC for Malt Cask Hong Kong & Dadi Liquor
Friends who want to read wine reviews can go to whiskyfun and look for it, it scores 91 points.
The editor thinks this is undoubtedly very delicious, with fruity aromas such as orange blossom water preserves changing to old-style whiskey flavors such as lime and wax, which is complex and rich. Definitely deserves high marks.
I just feel that the orange flavor in the first part is too strong, and the lime (or the chalk and wool that WF often mentions) afterwards can balance it out, but the orange is still too sticky.
This cup is good after a long sip. It's a bit burdensome, and the lighter Clynelish is more attractive.
At that time, objectively, the 91 points were well deserved.
