Aberlour is the distillery of Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky, located in Aberlour, Strathspey, Scotland, at the confluence of Lour Burn and the River Spey near Ben Rinnes The whisky is available in different types including 10, 12, 15, 16, 18 and Rare 30 years, and NV Cask Strength A'bunadh. Most variants are aged in American ex-bourbon casks, which is the standard for many single malt whiskies. Aberlour has also released a range of types where the malts are aged in bourbon barrels and then finished in barrels previously used to mature various fortified wines or sherry, a method especially suited for the French market.
