Collection: Shinobu Whisky

Shinobu Distillery is located in the beautiful Niigata region of Japan, and is famous for its rich white three treasures, "water source", "white rice" and "sake". In the distillery, there is a passionate whisky lover and experienced distiller "Usa Meiken", who is also the founder of Niigata Ale established in the same town 20 years ago. At the heart of his team, Mr. Usami was the first brewer to apply the concept of in-bottle secondary fermentation and aging of beer in Niigata ale.

With years of experience, Mr. Usami has a dream of making local whisky. Not only can it promote the local pure water source, but also benefit the majority of whisky lovers. Finally in 2017, Mr. Usami received the Niigata region's first whisky license (emphasis is the first!) and began his journey as a distiller.
