Niigata, Japan is famous for its "three white" treasures, namely snow, rice and sake, and a natural well-being environment of pure water. To make Niigata SHINOBU whisky, select high-quality Sydney and bourbon barrels from different distilleries, and then use precious Japanese Mizuura barrels for final maturation. Due to the scarcity of Mizuura barrels, the output is not much, and most of the volume is only exported to European and American markets.
Shinobu Shinobu 10 years
Smell: Wood-cask-dominated, with a touch of vanilla and nectar
Drink: Maltose, a little fruit acid, watery woody aroma, coffee beans
Ending: medium-long and distinct woody aroma, sweet and sweet maltose
Summary: The cask has a deeper influence, looks more mature than the year marked, drier on the palate, and has more character than the average young bourbon or Sydney cask wine.
