Douglas Laing & Co was established in 1948 as an independent bottler of Scotch whisky. Headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland, the company owns several brands, including its "preeminent regional malts" range, including The Epicurean, Timorous Beastie, Scallywag, Rock Island and Big Peat, as well as Old Particular, Provenance and Xtra Old Particular, among them Collectively referred to as the "Single Barrel of Excellence". The company also produces and sells King of Scotland blended Scotch whisky, Danny Family single cask and premium cask whiskies.
