Oban

Oban Distillery is a whisky distillery located in Port Oban on the west coast of Scotland. It was built in 1794, before the town of the same name, which then sprang up in the surrounding rugged harbour. The winery is owned by Diageo. With just two pot stills, it is one of the smallest in Scotland and produces whisky described as having a "West Highland" flavour, somewhere between the dry, smoky style of the Scottish islands and a lighter, sweeter malt between whisky.
