Collection: Bushmill

The company that originally built the distillery was founded in 1784, although the brand label bears a date of 1608 - referring to an earlier date, the royal license granted to local landowners to distill whisky in the area. Having experienced various periods of closure in its subsequent history, the winery has been in near-continuous operation since it was rebuilt after a fire in 1885

Some of Bushmills' products have performed well in international spirits rating competitions. In particular, its Black Bush Finest Blended Whisky won double gold medals at the 2007 and 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. It also received a Beverage Testing Institute score of 93 in 2008 and 2011, well above average
