Rock Island 10 Years Old is a fine Island "Vatted" malt whiskey that prides itself on not being colored or chill filtered. Bottled at 46% ABV, Rock Island 10 Year Old blends single malt whiskeys from Islay, Aran, Orkney and Jura to create a whiskey with sea salt, charcoal, Soft smoke and orange peel notes.
It starts out rich with barley and buttery notes, then develops into wave-soaked rocks with mild peat smoke and citrus fruits. The palate is beachy - ocean waves, black pepper and wet ash. The finish lingers, with waves of wood embers, orange peel and mild spice.
