Pic-Saint-Loup

It belongs to Languedoc-Roussillon in southern France like the previously introduced Minervois, but Pic-Saint-Loup is located in the northeast corner of the district (purple in the upper right of the picture below), the two are quite far apart, even Pic-Saint-Loup and another large district Rhone still relatively close.
Pic-Saint-Loup is the name of the mountain and has a Mediterranean climate with cooler nighttime temperatures. The sloping hillside terrain is suitable for growing a variety of grapes, such as Mourvedre, which likes warmth, can be grown at lower altitudes, and Syrah can be grown at higher altitudes. The soil is mainly limestone.
Due to the superior burial environment, the local red wines perform quite well, and it is a small producing area known for its high quality.
