This Amahagan Yamazakura Wood Finish incorporates malt from the emerging Nagahama distillery.
The distillery now has a wide range of whiskies that are well-received in Japan and beyond.
This one infuses the essence of "Yamazakura" - Yama means mountain and Sakura means cherry tree - into the bottle.
The refreshing aroma of wild cherry blossoms is combined with a touch of incense, orange peel and black honey for a wonderful overall drinking experience.
Tasting Notes
Fragrance: Sweet and gentle. Malt sweetness from Nagahama's new brand. It has sakura and plum aromas reminiscent of Japan.
Taste: Brown sugar, orange peel. After this, a gorgeous and elegant sweetness spreads in your mouth.
Aftertaste: A refreshing and comfortable astringent aftertaste like tea.
