Launched in 2017, Ardbeg's first launch in a decade, An Oa is a combination of spirits aged in Pedro-Ximenez sherry and bourbon casks. This wine is round and smoky, with notes of toffee, anise, dates and bananas.
Moist earth and leaves exude soft smoky notes, lime zest, limestone minerality, and a hint of ocean freshness.
Sweet smoke and chocolate, tarry, rich sweetness runs through the center and is enveloped in smoke. Soft creaminess emerges and the coffee latte is dusted with cocoa and powdered sugar.
A burst of berries vanishes, revealing stony minerals, brine and a dash of white pepper. More approachable than 10yo, but without losing any depth. Intense smoky flavours, everything from rich coffee and chocolate to fresh sea breeze.
