Powerful, the collision of waxy dark chocolate, warm cassis and brown sugar lulls you in, with plump cherries and pine needles leaping from the depths to bring out the salty, tangy seaweed and smoky bacon with a hint of bacon. The deep, spicy flavor of sweet vanilla, spicy clove and blueberry bombards the tongue with its intense flavor.
The first thing that jumped out was the pepper steak marinated in pepper sauce with a hint of seaweed. As you go deeper, you're greeted with a sip of black tar espresso, the palate overlaid with rich black fruits (cassis, blueberries, and cherries) and bitter almonds. Star anise and walnuts dry out the taste buds as the flavor develops, leaving a long, deep and persistent finish of black tar coffee, chocolate cherries and chilli sauce, a lingering reminder of that mysterious and daring trip to Corryvreckan.
