Since 1770, the Orban family has been growing grapes in Troissy, a village on the left bank of the Marne River above Dormans. The Troissy vineyard covers an area of 331 hectares and is mainly planted with Pinot Meunier (86%). Pinot Noir and Chardonnay account for 8% and 6% respectively.
In fact, the area is best known for its Pinot Meunier, but the estate’s vineyards have the privilege of growing all three grapes to ensure the wine’s authenticity.
Grape varieties: 40% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot noir
Tasting notes: Clear golden color, delicate and elegant bubbles. The delicate aroma is dominated by citrus fruits with a hint of fudge. Excellent finish, smooth, with brioche aromas and subtle notes of honey, pine nuts and a hint of tobacco.
