Brewing: Carignan is brewed whole bunches with Grenache and Syrah. Wine aged in oak barrels.
Appearance: Deep garnet red. Intense black fruit aroma and floral spice.
On the palate a harmonious blend of vanilla, roast, red fruit and black (raspberry, blackberry, black currant and cherry).
The finish is mild, persistent and very silky, finishing with melted tannins.
Cuisine: Sauce, red meat, game and cheese.
Serve temperature: 15～17℃
Preservation: preserved for 2 to 4 years
Estate: The estate of BLAYAC, established in 1900, is located in Viaanove La Caunette, in the beautiful Languedoc village of Cathare in the heart of the countryside, a stone's throw from the Minerve and 40 km northeast of Carcassonne.
Seven generations of lords succeeded in the territory.
Since 2003, Stéphane Blayac has been in charge of this beautiful vineyard covering 40 hectares.
The vines and hillsides of the terraces are facing due south, and on stony clay-limestone soils, they benefit from generous sunlight.
