The eighth bottle of Bunnahabhain is a combination of several casks of peated spirit distilled between 2013 and 2015. Aged for 5 to 7 years in American oak and ex-sherry casks, it has fruity, savory and peppery notes, with A hint of bitter chocolate. 1896 bottles produced.
NOSE: Deep orange chocolate, low sugar peach jam and chopped lemon verbena.
PALATE: Smoked paprika and cumin spices combine with sweet and sour: candied apples and lightly charred pear cake. Crunchy ginger nut biscuits and a drop of star anise oil bring even more peppery flavor.
FINISH: Leather, raw cocoa nibs and pepper, paired with Danish butter cookies.
