Glengoyne Distillery was founded in 1833 and is located in the Scottish Highlands. Its whiskey is made without regard to efficiency or cost.
Glengoyne’s “slowness” has become a notable feature: natural air is used to dry the barley to maintain the purest flavor, and more than three times the distillation time is used to purify the whiskey; the sherry barrels used by Glengoyne take six years to prepare. All this “slowness” helps create our perfect whisky.
