Glengoyne The Legacy Chapter One 2019 48% 70cl

The first whisky in Glengoyne's Legacy range, Chapter One has been aged in first-fill European oak oloroso sherry casks and some supplementary casks. It has a fruity, sweet character, with notes of sweet sherry, vanilla and dried apricots, while more spicier notes develop slowly. Beginning in 1869, distillery manager Cartwright significantly slowed the distillation process and introduced the distillery into sherry casks.
