The Glasgow distillery's first product is Makar Gin, launched in 2014 and named after the Gaelic word for 'poet' or 'bard'.
To do this, they still use their copper pot - affectionately known as Annie - and seven plants, including juniper, angelica root, licorice, coriander seed, lemon peel, rosemary, black pepper and cinnamon bark .
Dominated by juniper, backed by citrus and spice, angelica and rosemary stand out on the palate and finish.

Makar Cherry Gin is naturally flavored by steeping ripe cherries and a handful of pink peppercorns in Makar Original Dry Gin, then pressing to release maximum flavour.
