Kilkerran 8 yo Port Cask Matured 57.9% 70cl

Aroma: The port wine influence is quite strong and masks some of the Kilkerran character. The dirt smoke wasn't even noticeable. Intense cherry jam, black currant. There are also light linseed oil, nail polish and shoe polish. Finished with nougat, mocha and a hint of leather.

Taste: Now more smoky. Earthy notes, jam, lots of caramel and some hints of straw. Coffee grounds and licorice also enhance some of the dirty feel.

Finish: Lingering oak spice and syrupy wine aromas.
