The "Knockando" winery located by the Speyside River is the name of the village where it is located, which means black hills in Gaelic. The advantage of the earth spirit comes from the Cardnach spring, which gathers pure alpine snow water, and has the exclusive right to use it. This makes Nakandu the only malt whisky distillery with the delicate and sweet taste of Cardnach spring water.

Matured in bourbon and sherry casks, this wine adds warm nutty, roasted apple, raisin flavors and a subtle smoky woody aroma.
