Made from American oak casks that have been used three times and reassembled for whisky in a near-obsolete state,
With the expectation that the influence of the barrel on the wine will be minimized, it is a defender of the original flavor of Islay whisky.

Lagavulin 10 Year Old is a whisky aged in bourbon casks and recycled refired casks.

Aroma: Sweet and soft, with aromas of caramel and lemon. There's also quite a bit of brine, as well as a gentle aroma of peat, vanilla and some honey.

Palate: Light, slightly smoky body.
