Laphroaig 10yo 40% 70cl

The original Laphroaig, is distilled in the same way today as it was when Ian Hunter invented it over 75 years ago.

In making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, found only on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavour.

Fans of the 10-year-old will first notice its bold smokiness, followed by a hint of seaweed and a surprising sweetness. This full-bodied variant is the basis of all Laphroaig expressions and has a long finish.

Aroma: Huge smoke, seaweed, "medicine" with a hint of sweetness

Palate: Surprisingly sweet with a hint of saltiness and peat

Aftertaste: lingering
