Our Double Cask whiskey is aged in two types of oak casks, using carefully selected handmade casks and flavored with dry Oloroso sherry. American oak imparts subtle flavors of vanilla, citrus and butterscotch.

European oak imparts subtle spice notes unique to The Macallan.

After maturing for 15 years, these two exceptional whiskeys are combined to create a unique single malt whiskey with a sweeter, warmer taste and character.

Serve as is or over ice.

Appearance: Golden butterscotch.

Nose: Dried fruits, toffee and vanilla with smooth oak and baked apple. Balanced with flavors of honey and chocolate.

Palate: Sweet raisins and sultanas with notes of vanilla, woody spices and citrus.

Finish: Warm ginger turns to caramel and citrus, with a long, smooth mouthfeel.
