The Glasgow Distillery's first product was Makar Gin, launched in 2014 and named after the Gaelic word for "poet" or "bard".

To do this, they still use their copper pot - affectionately known as Annie - and seven plants including juniper, angelica root, licorice, coriander seeds, lemon peel, rosemary, black pepper and cinnamon bark .

Dominated by juniper, backed by citrus and spice, angelica and rosemary stand out on the palate and finish.
