Monkey 47 Gin 47% 50cl

An unusual gin from Germany's Black Forest, Monkey 47 contains a unique ingredient - cranberry.

47 comes from the amount of botanical ingredients used to make this particular gin, and it's bottled at 47% ABV!

This unique combination of ingredients has earned Monkey 47 the Gold Award for World Spirits in the Gin category and the Global Gin Award at the 2011 London International Wine and Spirit Competition.

The aroma, fresh grassy citrus and vegetal sweetness, is like a pine forest after rain.

Unexpectedly complex on the palate - this is a powerful and full-bodied gin with plenty of spice, berry and fruit flavours.

It's in great order and hard to unravel, but the fresh citrus flavors turn to walnut and wood in the front for a dry finish.

A special gin that would love to be poured into a cocktail shaker and turned into a martini.

It needs equally powerful absinthe, though!
