Aroma: Gentle Giant of Springbank. This wine is big and bold, with flavors of cured meat, roast beef jerky, cloves, mint, iodine, beef nuggets and canned plums, all evident from the Oloroso barrel maturation.

Palate: Peat notes are now evident, with soot and tobacco prominent in this sticky wine, along with plums, walnuts, figs, demerara sugar, cocoa powder and bacon.

Finish: The finish grows and develops with the aromas of soot, leather and walnut, then subsides like a low tide on the pebble beach of Kintyre.
