In 1810, Madame Clicquot invented the first vintage Champagne, and in 2012, Veuve Clicquot announced the brand's 66th vintage. The uniqueness of Vintage 2012 is the addition of 11% of wine aged in large wooden barrels (foudres), which brings strength and aromatic intensity.
