Vieux Château Saint André (Vieux Château Saint André) - The winery owned by the top winemaker of the wine king Petrus, the Vieux Château Saint André is located in the Lussac region of the Saint-Emilion mountainous area. It is a Jean -The private winery of Mr. Claude Berrouet, who has been the winemaker at Chateau Petrus, the king of wines, for 45 years.
The winery's land benefits from two different types of soil: clay and limestone, which give the wines complexity and elegance. Mr. Berrouet runs the old Château Saint-André with his son Jean-François,
He intends to retain most of the fruitiness because, in his philosophy, this is the best option to give the wine charm and sophistication.
The scent is elegant and has a pleasant floral aroma with hints of vanilla and fruit. Thanks to a small amount of new oak (20%), the wood blends together subtly and provides roundness and structure.
